The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has raised a fresh alarm over alleged network failures from Zenith Bank, saying that payment of import duties has has not been effective since Friday 5th, December 2025.

Zenith Bank is one of the duty collecting banks under the B’Odogwu platform of the Nigeria Customs Service.

National Publicity Secretary of ANLCA, Emmanuel Onyeme who raised the alarm on Tuesday alleged that cargoes are currently trapped at the port due to the epileptic service of Zenith Bank, adding that duty payments on cargoes made since last Friday are yet to go through on the Bank’s network.

Onyeme said that the Bank’s management has tried to exonerate itself, putting the blame on the Nigeria Customs Service.

“Agents are currently being frustrated and stranded due to the network failures from Zenith Bank since last week Friday. All the duties we have paid is yet to drop.
When we asked the management of the bank, they claimed that the fault is from the Customs platform, even though the situation is not the same with other banks” he said
