Osun 2026: APC Youths in Osun West Senatorial District. Endorse NIWA MD, Bola Oyebamiji

Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun West Senatorial District on Wednesday formally endorsed Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) as their preferred governorship candidate ahead of the party’s gubernatorial primary slated for December 13, 2025.

Speaking at the endorsement ceremony in Osun State, the sponsor of the event and a prominent APC chieftain from Ede North, Hon. Gafar Ajani, stated that the decision followed extensive consultations and deliberations among youths and leaders across the senatorial district.

Ajani noted that the youths’ collective endorsement of Oyebamiji was rooted in their belief in his competence, track record, and capacity to transform the state’s economy if elected governor.

“This is not a mere statement. AMBO enjoys overwhelming support across the Osun APC structure from the grassroots to party chieftains and women leaders in Osun West.

“He has an outstanding record in the banking sector, and the people of Osun believe he possesses the experience and knowledge to turn around the economic fortunes of the state,”
Ajani declared.

He added that the gathering clearly demonstrated the unity and resolve of APC members in the district to rally behind Oyebamiji’s aspiration.

“We are ready to project and promote his candidacy any day, any time,” he affirmed.

Also speaking, the APC Youth Leader of Osun West Senatorial District, Hon. Imran Adekunle Osama, said he had met with all local government youth leaders across the ten LGAs in the district, and they unanimously agreed that Oyebamiji remains the most qualified aspirant to represent the party in the 2026 governorship election.

“We have all agreed to throw our full support behind Asiwaju AMBO because we strongly believe his candidacy will give APC a landslide victory.
All ward and unit youth leaders of our great party are here today to endorse the best man for the job,” he stated.

During the event, Mr Saheed Wasiu from Isale Oba Ward 3 formally moved the motion to endorse Oyebamiji as the preferred aspirant of the Osun APC. The motion was seconded by Mrs Folashade Adeoye from Ede North Local Government, amid loud cheers from the audience.

“On behalf of all unit youth leaders across Osun West, I hereby move this motion to endorse Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as our preferred aspirant to become the flag bearer of our great party,” Wasiu declared.

The event was attended by several notable APC leaders, including Hon. Gafar Akintayo Amere, former member of the House of Representatives representing Iwo/Ayedire/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency; Dr Raheem Amidu Tadese, Commissioner at the National Population Commission; and Isamotu Ali Dodo, Osun West Senatorial Coordinator of AMBO’s Movement.

Others present were Mrs Olajile Funmilayo, Osun West Senatorial Women Leader; Mrs Azeez Adija; Hon. Adirulaihi Abefe, former member of the Osun State House of Assembly (Ola-Oluwa Constituency); Hon. Debo Akanni, former Osun House of Assembly member (Ede North); as well as party stalwarts Hon. Raman Ismail, Hon. Olamikan Ibrahim Ajila, Mr Hassan, APC Youth Leader, Iwo Local Government; Hon. Badru Temitope, and Mr Adiat Afeez Alabi.
