All Roads Lead to Rockview Hotel Apapa As PortNews Marks 30th Anniversary Today

PortNews is 30 years old today, and all roads lead to Rockview Hotel,Park Lane, Apapa for the anniversary celebration.
The highlight of events lined up is a lecture themed: Nigeria’s Shipping Carriage Gaps: CVFF and the Fading Manpower. It will be delivered by Captain Ladi Olubowale, President, African Shipowners Association.

According to the Publisher of the newspaper, Mr Wale Oni, the lecture is going to educate guests about the essence of the Fund, the huge potential bottled by government’s refusal to disburse it for over twenty years. Steps to take to get it released and unleash thousands of hamstrung seamen who NIMASA has trained at great costs in recent years.

Another key event of the anniversary is presentation of awards to individuals and corporate organizations who have proved their mettle in different fields of the maritime industry.
