ANLCA Lekki Port Chairman, Mustapha Yakubu Pledges Support for Compt Hauwa Abubakar

The Lekki Port chapter Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Alhaji Mustapha Yakubu has commended the appointment of Comptroller Hauwa Abubakar as the new Customs Area Controller of Lagos Free Trade Zone Command of Customs.
This is even as he pledged that the association would accord her all necessary supports to succeed in her new assignment.
In a statement issued on Monday, Mustapha expressed optimism that Compt Hauwa’s sagacity would drive trade to the lekkiport and the free zone, ensure seamless cargo clearance, ease of doing business and revenue generation.
“On behalf of the ANLCA family, i want to thank the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for deeming it fit to appoint Compt Hauwa Abubakar to Lagos Free Trade Zone Command, it is indeed a well deserved appointment, given that Compt Hauwa is a professional and thorough breed Customs officer.
“We are confident that her administration here would enthrone seamless cargo evacuation which would in turn attract more vessels to the Lekki port.
On behalf of ANLCA Lekki Port we welcome you to the Lekki Port and we promised to accord you all the needed support to succeed in your new assignment and to ensure that the Port achieve remarkable revenue growth and profitability” Mustapha stated.
While appreciating the outgoing controller for a job well done, the ANLCA Chairman further urged Compt Hauwa Abubakar to build on the outstanding performance and successes of her predecessor in office in order to deliver on her mandate.
The lekki port which commenced operations in 2023 has attracted significant investments and is projected to position Nigeria as a regional maritime hub in West and Central Africa subregion.
