Customs Lists 825 Officers, Including 5 DCG’s, 13 ACG’s, 53 Comptrollers for Statutory Retirement in 2026

The headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service has penned the names of Officers for statutory retirement by year 2026. In a circular dated 19th of September 2025, signed by Comptroller in charge of Establishment, AA Bazuaye, a copy of which was obtained exclusively by DAILY TREND, the officers would be retiring based on age, as well as year of service. Even though the dates of retirement vary, the affected officers have been directed disengage from active service and
proceed on three months’pre-retirement leave, three months prior to the
effective date of retirement.

According to the circular, five Deputy Comptroller Generals are to proceed on retirements, including GM Omale, CK Niagwan, KI Adeola, S. Chiroma and A. Nnadi.
The Assistant Comptroller Generals listed for retirement are; Babatunde Olomu, I.K Oladeji, T. Bomodi, B. Mohammed, KC Egwuh among others. While some of the Comptrollers on the list include; Compt O
PN Ntadi, Compt EO Oshoba, FO Onyeka, OA Adenuga Compt A Salawu, EJ Edelduok among others.

Bazuaye in the circular signed on behalf of the Deputy Comptroller-General (HRD) stated that “I am directed to foward the attached list on the above subject matter as pre-retirement notice to all affected officers.

“In accordance with the Public Service Rule (PSR) No.100238 and Federal Government circular No.63216/S.I/X/T;CR 1,/2001/5 of 20/03/2001, all affected
oficers due for retirement in 2026 are to disengage from active service and proceed on three (3) months’pre-retirement leave, three months prior to the effective date of retirement.

“All affected officers are to ensure compliance and forward their three
months pre-retirement notice to the Comptroller-General of Customs
accordingly”
