Customs Licensing Fee Review: ANLCA Rallies All Agents for Crucial Stakeholders Meeting in Apapa, Thursday

In a direct response to the recently proposed review in the licensing fee of clearing agents by the Nigeria Customs Service, the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents has invited all clearing agents for a crucial stakeholders meeting to address the impending hike.
In a widely circulated notice, issued by Olumide Fakanlu, the National Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), all licensed customs agents, regardless of their specific association, have been invited for the meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
The meeting, which will take place at the Rockview Hotel in Apapa at 12 noon, is exclusively for directors of customs licensed companies.
“This meeting is strictly for Directors of Customs Licensed Companies only” the notice states.
The primary agenda is the license and permit fee hike, a topic that Fakanlu described as a burning issue that threatens the clearing agents corporate existence.
The ANLCA Scribe stressed the importance of a unified front, urging attendees to “Endeavour to attend in order to lend your voice to this burning issue.”
According to the notice, after the meeting, a communique detailing the outcome and signed by all attendees will be drafted and sent to the relevant agencies of government.
