Late Dr Chris Asoluka for Burial July 24th, As Family Releases Funeral Programme

The family of the late Chris Asoluka has released the funeral programme for the maritime expert who passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. The programme is signed by Jamachi Chris-Asoluka, son of the deceased.

The family revealed in the Programme sighted by DAILY TREND that a Service of Songs/Night of Tributes would be held at the popular Harbour Point, Victoria Island in Lagos on Thursday, 17th July, 2025 in honour of the deceased.
This would be followed by a Commendation Service, scheduled for Friday, 18th July, at Our Saviour’s Church, Lagos.

The funeral programme will continue on Wednesday, the 23rd of July, after a four-day break, with a Wake Keep for the deceased at his country home in Ihiagwa, Owerri Imo State.

Thursday, July 17th – Service of Songs / Night of Tributes at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos (4pm)

Friday. July 18th – Commendation Service
at Our Saviour’s Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos (lOam)

Wednesday, July 23rd – Service of Songs / Wake Keep at Chris Asoluka Country Home, Ihiagwa, Owerri (4pm)

Thursday, July 24th – Obsequies – Ihiagwa, Owerri at St. Johns Anglican Church. Ihiagwa, Owerri (10am)
followed by interment at Chris Asoluka Country Home, Ihiagwa, Owerri

Friday. July 25th – Day of Honour by Nde Owerre at Chris Asoluka Country Home, ihiagwa, Owerri (12 noon)

Sunday, July 27th – Family Thanksgiving and Outing Service at St. Johns Anglican Church, Ihiagwa, Owerri (9am)

The family commiserated with Madam Nneka, wife of the late Dr. Asoluka, saying:

“As we mourn the loss of Dr. Asoluka, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Madam Nneka and her family during this difficult time. We encourage everyone to reach out and offer support to them as they navigate through their grief.”

The family added that Dr. Asoluka “will be remembered for his contributions and the impact he made in the lives of many.”
