Don’t Interfere In ANLCA-NAGAFF Rivalry, Aniebonam Warns Customs CG, Wale Adeniyi

Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Dr Boniface Aniebonam has advised the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Wale Adeniyi to remain neutral in the rivalry and battle for supremacy between NAGAFF and Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA)

DAILY TREND reports that both bodies are the leading associations in Nigerian Freight Forwarding sector.

In his Goodwill message to Customs CG, Wale Adeniyi on the occasion of the Comptroller General Conference which kicked off in Lagos on Wednesday, Aniebonam urged the customs boss to focus his efforts on his statutory functions of leading the customs.

Part of his message read “My little advice shall be that you watch the avoidable rivary between NAGAFF and ANLCA. Therefore, you may wish to remain neutral in their affairs and concentrate in your statutory duty as the leader of the Nigeria customs service”

The NAGAFF founder message is titled “GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM DR ANIEBONAM OKECHUKWU BONIFACE

“Regret the less than 24hrs receipt of your invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the conference and subsequent events.

“The legal battle at the supreme Court of Nigeria between my party the new NIGERIA PEOPLES PARTY and All progressive congress over the Governorship of kano state indeed is taking most of my time at the moment.

“Indeed your effort to reposition Nigeria customs service towards sustainable and more productive revenue collection organisation is being appreciated

“The task ahead in a corrupt society is indeed a great challenge. But i know with hardwork and support of the greater numbers of the stakeholders shall be the tonic required to achieve objective

“Keep the good work going and it is my belief that God shall assist you and the management team to make Nigeria great once again. Nigeria customs service and her officers are the first officers of the federal Republic Nigeria

“Under the circumstances a lot is desirous of the officers and men of the service to add value in our nation building and the economy INPARTICULAR

“It is my hope that thereafter this conference the Cgc and the management team shall take responsibility to bring about professionalism in the business of customs administration and facilitation of international trade
