Even as the election into key offices of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) draws near, the Association Electoral Committee (ASECO) has warned members not to engage in any registration of fake clearing licenses or those cloned on the system.

ASECO is the association’s electoral body, answerable to the Board of Trustees.

In widely circulated message to members, the Chairman of ASECO, Chief Alloy Anokuru urged all ANLCA members to visit the association National Secretariat from 11th of April to register their licenses and confirm their financial status with both ANLCA and the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN)

The ASECO warned that any member found to have engaged in any falsification of documents would be handed over to the security agents.

The message read in part “ASECO once again reminds us to kindly go to the ANLCA’s National Secretariat as from tomorrow 11th April to register your licence with ANLCA & CRFFN, if you have not done so. Also check to know your financial status with both ANLCA & CRFFN, and if your Customs Licensed corporate organisation/company/or Agency is eligible to vote or to be voted for, the day of election.

“Get your official ANLCA’s receipts of any payments in your corporate Name. Collect your certificate of non-indebtedness from NS (National Secretary) and keep handy.

“Lastly, Brethren, ensure yourself who is coming to vote and the corporate organisation/ Agency you may be representing is not under financial obligation to ANLCA at National level or Zonal level or Chapter level.
Pls avoid beer parlour gist/gossip they can not influence any member of Aseco. He or She wants to obtain you.

“Again, ASECO warns against registering Fake Licences,/or Licences cloned from Computers within Apapa/Tincan,or outside Customs headquarters Abuja. The impartial observers are monitoring ground& movements

“Those entering these Licences are wasting their time and money, I can assure them.
They should pls avoid chatting with Security operatives. BE WARNED”
