Nigerian human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju on Monday challenged supporters of the Labour Party candidate for the 2023 Presidential elections, Mr Peter Obi to a $10,000 bet, saying that Obi would loose the election and come a distant third position.

However, about 24hours after placing the bet, none of the “Obedients” have summoned courage to put their money where their mouth is.

Three candidates have become front runners in the 2023 elections, they are; Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

Adeyanju via his official Twitter handle @adeyanjudeji on Monday called on Peter Obi followers to come forward and win his money, which according to him has been deposited with a frontline journalist and Publisher of Ovation Magazine; Mr Dele Momodu

Adeyanju twitted “$10k credited to Egbon @DeleMomodu’s account. Now waiting for Ben the Obidient to do his part. We don’t display fake cash on social media here. Still ready to bet more because I’m looking for money for my PhD. next year”

Meanwhile, another social media and government critic, Reno Omokri who was former special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, has dragged the OBIdients to the cleaners.

Speaking via his Twitter handle @renoomokri, he wondered, saying “Does it mean that after 72 hours, no Obidient is bold enough to accept @adeyanjudeji’d $10000 bet that Obi will come a distant 3rd in 2023?

“The man has deposited cold hard cash with @DeleMomodu. If it is insult and threats to life, it wont take you guys one second”
