Customs Board Confirms Appointment of DCG Gumi, Two ACG’s
Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Dr Zainab Ahmed
The Governing Board of the Nigeria Customs Service has confirmed the appointment of one Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, DCG Hamza Gumi and two Assistant Comptroller Generals; ACG Mustapha Serikinkebi and ACG ACG Ahmed Nasir.
The confirmation took place at the 55th regular meeting of the Nigeria Customs Service board chaired by the Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed which held on 28th of June 2022 at the customs headquarters in Abuja.
The officers were decorated with their new ranks by the Finance Minister, assisted by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali (Rtd)
DCG Hamza Gumi is in charge of Human Resource and Development, ACG Ahmed Nasir in Tariff and Trade department and ACG Mustapha Serkin- Kebbi in charge of Training and Coordination at Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
Col Hameed Ali while speaking congratulated the officers and thanked them for their efforts and sacrifice to the service and the Nigerian nation.
“On behalf of the entire men and officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, I congratulate you on this meritorious promotion, I look forward to you increasing your tempo in terms of service to this country and to all humanity.
For those of you just coming into the management cadre, it has additional responsibility” he said
He expressed assurances that the service is in good hands and that these galant officers would continue to perform their duties.
He thanked them for their efforts and sacrifices while noting that their elevation comes with heightened expectations at the level of policy making in Customs Management.
Deputy Comptroller General of Customs in charge of Human Resource and Development, Hamza Gumi, on behalf of the decorated officers thank the Nigeria Customs Service Board for the confidence reposed on them and assured Management of their commitment to effective delivery of their responsibilities.
