…Replies Aniebonam Over Comments On Crisis, Says “You are a Problem to This Industry”

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has condemned Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, founder of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) for suggesting that ANLCA was being punished with leadership crisis due to constant disagreement with NAGAFF.

Vice President of ANLCA, Dr Kayode Farinto disclosed that a PTML Chapter official of ANLCA, Mr Haastrup Adeyemi was arrested by the police for allegedly masterminding and leading an attack on the association national Secretariat on Tuesday.

He was reported to have injured one of the police officers with a knife.

Speaking with journalists at the commissioning of the new Sifax Container Terminal at Ijora Causeway on Wednesday, Farinto said Dr. Aniebonam is one of the problems of the Nigerian freight forwarding industry.

According to Farinto, it is people in the age bracket of the NAGAFF founder that are causing the leadership crisis in ANLCA.

Replying Aniebonam, the ANLCA Vice President said “I have actually replied him that he is talking gibberish, it is the people in his age bracket that are causing this problem in ANLCA, he is also a problem to this sector, even though he has his nuisance value, but he is also a problem too, I have my respect for him, but what he has said is unfortunate”

Recall that the leadership crisis in ANLCA had led to an attack on the associations national secretariat on Tuesday by some miscreants. Ten of them were however arrested with AK47 weapons and charms.

Farinto disclosed that one of the associations’ officials at PTML Chapter, Haastrup Adeyemi had led the miscreants on the attack to the national Secretariat at Amuwo-Odofin Lagos.

“This attack is as a result of crisis in the BOT, they dont want to agree that their tenure has expired, what I envisaged is what is happening now, the crisis we have now is between the old order and the new order, the octogenarian have refused to leave the place of politics, yet they would tell you that the youths are not too young to rule, yet they refuse to leave the stage at 75years old, it is unfortunate”

“Their tenure has expired, for those of them that want to return back, they should wait for electioneering and if they win, so be it” Farinto stated
